One of my favorite things about being a family photographer is getting to spend a little time being silly and playing with sweet kiddos. And at this session, I’m pretty sure I’ve found the happiest little baby EVER! Odessa is six months old, and she absolutely hammed it up for the camera throughout her entire lifestyle family session. She even gave out extra smiles and giggles every time she heard the shutter click! Ah! She’s a photographer’s dream baby! 🙂

One thing I really loved about this particular lifestyle session in Shoreline was just how simple and relaxed it was! We did most of photo session in the family’s front yard and in the park just across the street from their home. We also took some photos of Odessa all comfy in her pajamas. So simple, yet so significant. I absolutely love that their home is in the background of their images! It brings such a personal touch to their photographs. Odessa will look at these pictures when she grows up and they will hold so much more meaning for her because they include her childhood home and the park she used to play in everyday. My goal is to always create natural, heartfelt, and timeless images, and I hope that one day Odessa shares these photographs with her children and they see a little bit of her personality as a baby as well as her parents’ love for their child.

These are some of my favorite kinds of photographs to make – honest and unposed – pictures that naturally show a family’s genuine personality and connection – like Odessa’s joyfulness and her parents’ adoration for their darling little one. 🙂
