Joanna and Brian’s fiesta-themed wedding at Sova Gardens in Sebastapol, California was light-hearted, joyful, colorful and SO MUCH FUN!  I met Brian and Joanna in 2010 when the three of us worked together on a tall ship in the Bahamas. It was wonderful to reconnect with them again eight years later as a destination wedding photographer to document their wedding!

Joanna and Brian planned a laid-back wedding that matched their lifestyle in Sonoma County with Mexican-inspired design elements and food including talavera pottery, papel picado, churros, tacos, and margaritas. Tacos and churros?! Count me in!

When I asked them what they envisioned for their wedding day photography, Joanna and Brian emphasized their love of fun, bright candid photos that would reflect their spirited day. They also wanted to make sure that their guests were featured. Most of their wedding party and guests came from out of town, so they made sure to include unstructured quality tome with their loved ones.
